Gandhi Crane

Yeah guess that was his last wish... "Nehru, when I'm dead, name Bangalore's pub district and a heavy duty crane after me."

Batman Returns

I woke up early this morning as I have to go to work by 10. I went to the computer to see if I had any new mail. while logging into my Gmail, I noticed that there was something obstructing my view of the screen. Well, here it is, in full technicolor - ding da ding da ding da ding da - ding da ding da ding da ding da BATMAN!! Mummy tried to badger him off the monitor, but failed to do so. Dad finally managed to get rid of him.

People may remember that this is not the first time I've had bats in the house. There was Bruce Wayne who contaminated a pile of Alphonse mangoes and died tragically (not by my hand). I like bats... they're introspective and individualistic creatures... they're like a pipe smoker sitting in the corner mulling over Life's deeper questions. the fact that they can fly and scare the living daylights out of most is good too... I remember one night when I was having a drink with some friends and the now late Bruce Wayne Showed up... Even Hakim was near hysterical.

I don't see a reason to fear bats though... They will never touch you... They might take a single bite each out of Rs. 400 worth of mangoes, but nothing more than that.

My Smoking Chair

Well, one more image from the Nathaniel residence in Bangalore. That's me in my smoking chair with my pipe. I'm in the midst of an interesting conversation with a friend of mine. Oh, I love that pipe!

Well... maybe... just maybe , the USA is a racist country. I just had a popup ad asking me to donate to the United Negro College Fund. I ran a search for the United Honkie College fund and I couldn't find any...

Midnight Traffic Jam

A few days ago, I was working late, and left for home only at midnight. This is what we had on Airport road. So, guys, if you're ever planning a thin "buffer time" for a 3 AM flight, I urge you to reconsider.

Huge drug bust. 200 kilos of cocaine. and guess what they used to bring it to a press conference? A Hewlett-Packard computer carton. here's another one to add to the trove of Bill and Dave stories.
